Character name: Musashi Tomoe
Source canon: Getter Robo
Community tag: Musashi Tomoe
Do I want a HMD: Yes

Background: Musashi's background is not deeply explored. When we first meet him, he is returning from months of training atop Mt. Daisetsu to improve is Judo technique. I imagine he's from a similar background as the other two pilots: Unstable home life, frustrated by the lack of challenge in his life. However, unlike Ryouma and Hayato, Musashi has a certain amount of dorky likeableness, and so he probably isn't feared. I suspect his classmates (for he is in high school), think he's kind of stupid, but generally likeable. I suspect the various sports teams across the school fear him and his endless capability to wreck equpiment.

Personality: Musashi is a child at heart. He became a pilot for Getter Robo not out of a need to prove himself, or out of a burning curiosity, but because he wanted to be a hero and save the day from monsters! He wanted this so much, he was willing to beat up Saotome and steal his pilot suit to do it. It was this same desire to be a hero that pushed him to self sacrifice at the end of the series.

He has an appetite that needs to be seen to be believed, and is more than a bit proud of it. He even uses it strategically, when trying to win Michiru's heart by eating tons of her cooking (This plan ultimately failed, and almost made him unable to pilot at a critical point.).

Musashi is not smart, but he's not actually as dumb as you might guess from his first impression. He's not winning any nobel prizes, for sure, but he's smart enough to know his limitations, to come up with strategies, and he manages to fix Getter Eagle when Ryouma couldn't.

Musashi brings some much needed stability to the Getter team. Ryouma is brave, but unable to keep his eye on the big picture when he gets caught up in a fight. Hayato is smart, but, well, also fucking crazy. Musashi is eager and energetic, but when compared to the other two pilots, he's relatively level headed. He recognizes this in himself, and does his best to keep the REALLY insane urges of the others in check.

Capabilities and Resources: While not as strong as Ryouma or as fast as Hayato, Muasashi has nigh superhuman levels of endurance. He's as tough as a ton of bricks, and about as smart.

Type: Combatant

Unit Name: Getter-3 (Getter Robo)
Unit Description: Getter Robo is a super robot made from 3 "Get machines" (essentially sci-fi fighter jets) that combine in different formations to produce three different robots based on what the situation requires. Getter-1's speciality is air combat and energy weapons. Getter-2's speciality is subterranean combat and speed. Getter-3's speciality is Underwater combat and raw strength. All 3 are just fine on solid ground. Each pilot of Getter Robo (for each Get Machine has it's own pilot) is in control of one form of Getter Robo. Musashi is in control of Getter-3.

Getter-3 is the shortest form. It moves on tank treads instead of legs. To make up for this lack of mobility, Getter-3 sports a variety of missiles it can launch, as well as extendo-arms. The arms are very flexible, allowing Getter-3 to grab enemies that the other two forms can't match in strength and just fucking tear them apart. As I mentioned, Getter-3's advantage lies in raw physical strength. While it is slower and more poorly armed than either of the other two forms, in an arm-wrestling contest between Getter-3 and ANY OTHER SUPER ROBOT, bet on the Getter.
Size: ~40 meters
Terrain compatibility:
Air: Yes
Ground: Yes
Water: Yes
Space: Yes
Favored terrain: ...Yes (Getter Robo's word of the day is "Adaptability")

Upgrades: None.

Wingmen: None.

Mission requirement: Musashi does not appear until after Hayato and Ryouma have become Getter Robo pilots.
Suggested Event List: The full list as it currently stands is on Ryouma's app My addition is as follows:

Plot post 2: While on a routine patrol in Getter Eagle (AKA Ryouma's Get Machine), Ryouma gets shot down by some dudes from the Dinosaur Empire who are guarding a town in a valley in Japan that they have sealed off from the outside world to do experiments on. He crashlands on the ground where he meets up with Musashi, who is leading a band of apemen who used to be humans but were regressed to an earlier evolutionary form by Dinosaur experimentation in a guerilla war against the Dinosaur Empire occupation. Musashi helps Ryouma fix Getter Eagle.

Mission 2: Visions of Hell on Mt. Daisetsu
Getter Jaguar (piloted by Hayato) and Getter Bear (piloted by Professor Saotome), along with the rest of Unity Group. They encounter a Mechasaurus (along with whoever else the enemy du jour can muster) who is helping guard the secret dinosaur base there. Ryouma rejoins them with the repaired Getter Eagle, but Saotome is unable to combine, since the strain of piloting is too much for his aging body. He crashes. Musashi goes to help him out, because he is a helpful soul. When Saotome meets Musashi at the crash, he feigns being more injured than he actually is to get Muashi into Getter Bear, then locks him in (because he sensed Musashi's inherent Getterness, I guess.). While Musashi freaks out, Getter Bear finally completes the transformation on autopilot. As Getter-1 and/or Getter-2 fail to beat the Mechasaurus's raw strength, Emperore Gore babbles for a while about his artificial sun he's been building in secret that will use the power of the earth's magma mantle to incinerate all of Hokkaido! Finally they switch to Getter-3, and with the other pilots shouting instructions at Muashi, he somehow manages to grasp the controls and uses Getter-3's strength to beat the Mechasaurus, allowing them to destroy the artifical sun and save the day.

WOW that got long, but I think it should be manageable.

Sample post: This ought to do it!
